Cosmic Stone and Garden Supply has been your local stop for the highest quality gardening and landscaping supplies since 2007.  We specialize in offering a variety of all-natural, Maine based products as well as the expertise to help with your landscape project.  We offer several mulch products, a variety of stone sold individually or by the pallet, as well as compost, loam, and other aggregates.

Whenever possible, we use Maine products.  Our entire yard is chemical and dye free.  We don't want to eat vegetables fertilized with chemicals or have our kids and dogs playing in mulch that turns their hands black from dyes.  As you are reading this, I assume you don't either.  We have a variety of Mulch, Compost, Loam, and Stone Products for you to choose from.  Our prices are reasonable as is our delivery.  Our delivery fee is one price for up to 10 yards of mulch or 6 yards of stone/loam/compost.  Our goal is to get your products to you in a few days.  Call us and we can help you with any questions you may have.

We also offer stone birdbaths, granite tables, and granite planters, all in different sizes.  They are found throughout the yard for when you are looking for a unique yard piece or perhaps the perfect gift.  Our selection is always changing as we make all of these products in Topsham.  Don't see exactly what you want, let us know.

Our yard is constantly refreshed to provide you with what you need, when you need it.  We use the same suppliers for our products all season long so the mulch you buy in May will match what you need to spruce things up in August.

We hope to open in late April and begin deliveries as soon as the heavy loads road postings come down in early May.Maine mulch.  Maine garden.  Maine compost.  Maine loam.  Maine stone.  Brunswick Mulch.  Topsham Mulch.  Freeport Mulch.  Bowdoin Mulch, Harpswell Mulch, Bath Mulch, Bowdoinham Mulch, Phippsburg Mulch, Brunswick Compost.  Topsham Compost.  Freeport Compost.  Bowdoin Compost, Harpswell Compost, Bath Compost, Yarmouth Mulch, Yarmouth Compost, Maine stone, Topsham Stone, Brunswick Stone, Harpswell Stone, Bowdoin Stone, Arrowsic Stone, Bowdoinham Stone, Midcoast Stone, Midcoast Mulch, Midcoast Compost,  Bowdoinham Compost, Phippsburg Compost, MOFGA, MOFGA Compost, Mulch Delivery.

Even though it continues to rain, we still deliver five days per week.  We deliver as little as one yard or can load your truck/trailer here in our yard.

Another winter is close to being in the books and we have finalized our 2017 product line.  We will be carrying the same three colorant and dye-free Maine mulches:  Maine Dark Bark; Aged Hemlock; and Performance Mix.  For a third year in a row, our mulch prices have not changed.  Also, our sources have stayed the same for our stones, Bisson's and MOFGA Organic compost, gravel, stone dust, and cobbles for those looking for exactly what they had last year.

Howard, Missy, and Matt are each back this year and will help with any questions you may have.  The Zoo Truck (named that as we purchased it from the LA County Zoo in California) has been tuned and is ready to deliver.  We had a new tarp installed as well to keep our friends safe on the roads.

New for 2017:

  • Foundation Stones:  We were fortunate to find foundations stones that came from an 1800s farmhouse in Bowdoin.  Hand-split granite that makes perfect steps, landing stones, or unique landscape additions.
  • Recycled Curbing:  We have found new suppliers to replenish our supply of curbing that many of our customers use for steps.  These dimentional pieces are nearly all 18" deep, 8" high (normal step) and vary in length from 2'-8'.  While not as historic, they really serve a purpose and offer more character than freshly cut granite steps.
  • Wall Stone:  We have been adding to large bins behind our shop since late last summer.  Most are dark, flat-ish stones that may be used for walls, stepping stones, small steps, or landscape stones.  Most came from the Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth after we installed the Children's Gardenlast year.  Others came from the shoreline in Harpswell.
  • Birdbaths:  Missy has been busy at work replenishing our supply after Holiday demand wiped us out in December from a Portland Press Herald section focused on local holiday gifts.  She has created 30+ birdbaths from round Baileys Island stones, all cut and shaped in its own unique way.
